A short trip that turned into a lasting memory.
Earlier that year, my friends and I took a trip to Sylhet — and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most memorable journeys I’ve ever had. It was the first time I experienced the joy of travelling somewhere far with just friends, no big plans, no fixed schedule, just the excitement of exploring.
We took the train — an eight-hour ride that was both tiring and surprisingly fun. It was actually my first train journey, which made it even more special. By the time we arrived, we were exhausted but full of energy to see what Sylhet had to offer.
From the calm of Hazrat Shah Jalal Mazar to the beauty of Jaflong and its cold, clear water — every place felt different. The hills, the tea gardens, and the quiet roads made it feel like a completely different side of Bangladesh. My phone camera didn’t always do justice, but I tried to capture the feeling more than the frame.
It was a short trip, but full of laughter, stories, and a kind of peace that only travel with good friends can bring. Sylhet wasn’t just beautiful — it felt alive, calm, and unforgettable.
